Daniel Palencia Exits Game with Apparent Injury

It seems like a weekly (or even daily) theme, but another Cubs player has left with an injury. This time, it’s Daniel Palencia, who had just blown the game a few moments before leaving the field.

Palencia allowed five runs on Sunday, giving up the Cubs’ lead before recording an out. Robert Hassell III hit a solo home run, and Josh Bell followed with a go-ahead three-run shot. Palencia posted a 5.23 ERA in August, showing signs of regression after carrying a heavy workload throughout the year.
