Shawon Dunston Offers Heartfelt Tribute to Ryne Sandberg: ‘He Loved All You Cubs Fans’

Shawon Dunston paid tribute to Ryne Sandberg on Tuesday, appearing on MLB Network to discuss his former teammate. He shared some of his final interactions with Ryno, including a heartfelt message from the Hall of Fame second baseman. Dunston and Sandberg played together from 1985-94, and again for a short time in 1997.

"The last couple of days, he wanted to speak to me, Andre [Dawson] and Mark Grace. He told us that he loved us and he loved all you @Cubs fans too. Go Cubs."
