Pete Crow-Armstrong, Kyle Tucker Elected All-Star Game Starters
Major League Baseball has announced the starters for the 2025 All-Star Game in Atlanta, and two Cubs players made the cut.
Pete Crow-Armstrong will start in center field for his first-ever Midsummer Classic, continuing his rise as one of the premier outfielders in baseball. Through 84 games, PCA has already posted 4.0 fWAR and a career-best .356 wOBA. What makes him truly special isn’t just the offensive breakout — it’s that he’s evolving into a true five-tool player. He boasts one of the strongest arms in the game, covers seemingly every inch of the outfield, and has the power to drive almost any pitch out of the ballpark.

Kyle Tucker has also been voted a starter for the National League team, with this year’s game in Atlanta marking his fourth career All-Star appearance. Since being traded to Chicago, Tucker has lived up to expectations, posting an impressive 156 wRC+ and hitting 17 home runs. He’s also compiled 4.0 fWAR, putting him on pace to easily surpass his career-high mark of 5.0 fWAR set in 2021.

The last time the Cubs had two starters in the All-Star Game was in 2019, when Willson Contreras and Javier Báez represented the Northsiders in Cleveland.
Speaking of Báez, he’ll be starting in center field for the American League. After a disappointing 2024 season in which he posted a -0.7 fWAR, the former Cubs superstar is making a surprising return to the All-Star Game.
