Chicago Cubs Lineup (9/4/24): Familiar Batting Order, Imanaga Playing Stopper

The Cubs have effectively lost all the positive momentum they’d established with their torrid stretch of play to close the month of August and are now just trying to avoid a sweep. They’ll do it behind a lineup that has remained largely unchanged outside of rest days, which is one area where Craig Counsell seems to differ from his predecessor.

Shōta Imanaga is on the mound to play the role of stopper and the Pirates are opting to use Domingo Gérman as the opener tonight. That’s all we’ve got for this one because I’m fed up with this team and I’ve got a portable sauna to assemble. Getting ready for a little post-workout contrast therapy between that and an ice bath, so please send your thoughts and prayers.

First pitch is at 6:40pm CT on Marquee and 670 The Score.
