Marcus Stroman Experiences Rib Discomfort, Will Not Start Wednesday
Marcus Stroman was scheduled to be activated from the IL to make Wednesday’s start against the White Sox, but he will remain shelved after experiencing rib discomfort. He will have that new issue checked out and may be able to return for the series against the Royals. The Cubs have not yet named a replacement, but we should hear more soon.
A little more rest probably isn’t the worst thing for the right-hander, who has a 9.00 ERA over his last seven starts. The Cubs just need him to get back to looking like he did prior to their trip to London.
