Jason Heyward Placed on 10-Day IL with Left Hamstring Strain
Jason Heyward left the game on Wednesday night against the Washington Nationals with hamstring tightness. Today, he was placed on the 10-day IL by the Cubs.

Nick Martini was recalled to fill the roster spot left open by Heyward’s injury, and he is in the starting lineup today in right field for the Cubs’ series finale against the Nationals.
