Chicago Cubs Lineup: Dexter Fowler is BACK!!

After a short rehab stint at South Bend – where he played in one game as DH – and Iowa – for 5 ABs – Dexter Fowler is finally active and in the lineup for the Cubs tonight. This is exciting for multiple reasons, but mostly because the Chicago Cubs (57-37) have had to rotate a few different players into the lead-off spot and it’s had a tendency to make it more difficult for Joe Maddon to optimize the lineup the way he’d like to. That ends tonight.

All that means that Ben Zobrist is back in the four spot tonight, right were he can serve as protection for Anthony Rizzo – nice!

Willson Contreras is fifth, followed by Jason Heyward, Addison Russell and Miguel Montero. Hammel will bat ninth tonight.
