Cubs Promoting Lefty Reliever Tom Cosgrove
Sources have informed CI that the Cubs are promoting reliever Tom Cosgrove, giving their bullpen a fresh arm as they look to win the series against the Phillies. Cosgrove was acquired earlier in April from the Padres, a deal that gave the Cubs more depth for their bullpen.
He’s appeared in three games with the Iowa Cubs, striking out seven while only allowing one walk. This season, Cosgrove has a 3.52 ERA in 7.2 innings.
